Seriously though, sorry to hear of your injury DC. Likewise, I'm not very far away, so if I can help out let me know (but NOT with any right-hand jobs, OK ). Not much cop at mending bikes, either, but I'm very good at shopping, so if you need anything fetched, let me know .

Hey DC, sorry to hear the injury is worse than it seemed at first. Perhaps we should stop taking the piss, then again, perhaps not!

It doesn't feel too bad while I'm riding, hurts more when putting glove and jacket on..............Vunerable I understand that bit of sticky out bone is just waiting to snap off

Thanks Lulu, I'm coping fine at the mo and I promise no weird requests

If they do have to operate (which seems likely) I might have to stop riding the bike though

Thanks Rich, I've put a split link in for the time being..........like I say at the momoment I can still ride .........I'm hoping that the recovery time after surgery is short so I can get some miles under my belt, I've still got to see the lakes this summer and there's still numerous Jellys breakfasts to be had

I'm a lawyer, not a doctor, but as I understand it the joint is now less stable as the socket has opened up so you are relying on the muscles and cartilege to keep it all in place. Bones fix simply and can be assisted with plates. If your shoulder pops again in its current state and you rip the soft material it becomes a lot more difficult to repair.

But I haven't checked and someone who knows more will be along soon, but please ask a doctor!
