noth cornwall

had a brief outing on my RD250 yesterday well it has only done 130 miles since the rebuild now on 175, but hacking the little stroker around is god fun
anyhow here are a few pics of north cornwall around bude

in a valley near bude




overlooking bude from th southwest you can see the just morwenstow radar station on the hill behind

RD250 with spoked wheels,nice! only ever remember seeing the DX version with cast wheels around here when i started to get interested in bikes.

The 76 250C with rear drum only came wit wire wheels then 77 came the d or DX as it is sometimes called with wire wheels and rear disc as standard alys where a £30 option which was a weeks wages then, only when the e came out was the 250 standard with allys which all 400,s had allys which makes the wire hubs rare and valuable i got this bike with a set on but the rimes where very rusty the set that are on it came from a friend in Germany in fair condition at a very good price, i had a 250D like this in 1978 myself new, about a 100 photos of the resto here

mmmm.......Allspeeds! two-strokes with spannies sound great. used to loads in the late 70's early 80's around here.
