when I was there Phil any thing that was deemed good for you was priced on a par with the UK, but any thing deemed to be bad, chocolate, sweets and beer, you took out a mortgage for. last time I was in OLOFSTROM JAMSHOG Sweden my Bro and I spent £150 on boose for a party and just about covered the boot area of a golf GTI.
But I love the place and would be gone tomorrow, keep the horible pictures of Scandinavia comming Kjell

    Re: Trip to Norway

    Thursday 11/6

    Trip starts,
All geared up, and ready to go.
Waiting for Peter with his TA

    First meeting point,
    Kalle/Suzuki GSX1100F, Lennart/Suzuki 1400GLP and Jonas/Kawasaki 750 is already there:

Weather is quite cloudy and approx. 14 degr. celcius.

    Jonas and his Kawa

    Peter is preparing his ears

Around 1800 that evening we arrive in Norway/Moss, sheduled to take the ferry to Horten.
Bengt/Suzuki GS1000G is waiting for us at the ferry ticket office.

Strange noice comming from his rear wheel,,,
Wheel bearings? Rear drive? Shaft drive U-joints?
Will the trip end here in Moss for Bengt?
I send the rest of the guys over with the ferry, and stays with Bengt.

Then out of the Blue, comes a man with a Harley Softail Custom. (To buy ice cream).
Me and Bengt walks over and asks if he knows any Motorcyckle repair shops in town.

The result is that we follow him home to his nerby garage, were he and his very beautiful girlfriend helps us with the bike.
(A Million thanks Glenn, You're the Man!!!)

    Glenn at work

    Bengt is watching

Lo and Behold, the final drive, and the wheel bearings were ok!
But two bolts fixating the cushion drive have worked themselves lose, breaking in to pieces, causing the sound and the
    sudden stops.

Glenn cleans out the hub, Loctites the remaining 4 bolts, and puts everything back in place

At 2100 Bengt and I arrive to the camp site were the other six team members already started to drink some beers.

Ducati-Per arrives half an hour after us, and all nine team members are there, at last!
