Re: XRV Kids weekend pics and report

We arrived on Saturday morning (a little later than originally planned because of work)

We had a phonecall on route from Vader who was a little misplaced so we picked the Chads and Vaders up on route.

Just after we arrived the sun came out, it warmed up and as Whealie says the kids found water and went for a play (and some of the grown ups too )

Jamie Lee took a fancy to MoM's GSA so tried it for size
    .

    Now the "grown ups"

    Chad

    Jay

    MoM

    Lady Vader

    Whealie

    Chad and Stevie

    Jeoff and Claire

    Me enjoying a burger

    And the Kiddies

    Molly, Alex and Jamie Lee

    Caitie M
2 minutes before I got a message to Jay to tell him she didn't have spare clothes so don't get wet

Molly, Toni, Jamie Lee (in the canoe) Terri Anne (holding on the the end of the canoe) Alex and Caitie M just getting out of the water

The campsite was brilliant, and I get the feeling we will be using it again next year.

Great weekend going to make this an annual event the Kids really enjoyed themselves, as did the adults

    Some of mine

Camp set up in the dry

    Swimming

    All the children went swimming

    Then we had a BBQ

Apparently some of the food tasted odd

Wasn't just the Vaders who lowered the tone

    We had a fire

    The sun went down

and strange creatures came out in the dark

Absolutely fantastic week end which everybody enjoyed. Especially the younger children

Again many thanks to Jeff (Geoff)???? for the use of his awning and heater Friday evening and Whealie for supplying the beer.

Fantastic weekend. Jeff organised a fantastic pitch and the sun gods brought the good weather if 2 hours late. We have 2 things to plan for 1 how do you fit a caravan on a GSA and does any one want a pair of shorts they have out grown me by 8 inches they are like new honest

Great photos. Sharrie how much weight have you lost?
Any more and you will disappear.

Re: XRV Kids weekend pics and report

Ok got some of my pics sorted now

Deb and I had ordered new sleeping bags as we did not get on with the Mummy shape ones we had. They arrived in time but where "a little" bit bigger then i though

and that is only one of them

we had arranged to meet up with the Chad's which we did on Saturday at 6am.We left lovely Essex behind us and, with a stop for breakfast at Morrissons on the way, arrived at the "Campsite" at Lunchtime.
The only problem was, there was no campsite. Both Chad and myself put the Coordinates into our satnav(as it said on the website not to use the postcode) and ended up in deepest wales on a nice river but the campsite was 12 miles away.A quick phone call to J and some directions wearrived.
Putting up our tent was easy and quick. But Chad needed something a bit bigger which took some time and manpower to puit up

As said before the kids had a good time in the lake

of course we had a BBQ

and even had a whealie-bin for our rubbish

as mistakenly reported it was not us which lowered the tone

of course we had to have a little fire in the evening

a few drinks where consumed and some of us where in need of the traditional XRV Breakfast

    some suffered more then others

we had a few bacon/egg rolls and then packed up our tents

Whealie has his own method of packing his paniers

Thanks to everyone it was a brill weekend
can not wait till next year
