    rememberance day run

clear day sunny day again today in Sunny Aberdeenshire

so I though I would check out how the rear carb repairs on the XLV 750...
opted for my usual loop to Tomintoul via the lecht ski resort, taking in a bacon & egg roll break at the firestation in Tomintoul, then loop back through Tomlavoulin. Glen Livet, Dufftown. Huntly then back to Alford

-2C last night and very frosty again .. so waited till 10.30 ( 0 c ) before setting off.. some shaded sections has not even thawed at all yesterday

passed through Glenkindie at 1100 and as folk were at the war memorial I stop the bike and waited until the service had finished...

roads were very poor ( but those being remembered today have given me the freedom to do what I like in a free country so I braved the road)...

coming into Strathdon bike went .. big style..
ice and snow like slush churned up by traffic running through the water run of in sub zero conditions.. Not rained or snowed for two days but this stuff was lurking in the most unexpected places....
How come I don’t see a car for ages yet there is always one coming towards me when I need all the road... kept it upright and where it should be...
now in full caution mode... so not keeping to my usual pace as roads would not allow it.. Bike running fine.. so just bimbled and took more photies

first one is the memorial at Strathdon then a few views of the frosty road between Strathdon and Corgaff.. then the Cairngorms from the Lecht, a view of the lecht road.. looks clear but it is glass.. took a few pics of the slushy stuff encountered through Glen Livet.. among other places!!! ( oh the smoky thing in the back ground is them making more Glen Livet ) few shots of a mucky bike but the high light was stopping on the top of the Sui Hill to take some shots looking west to Tap O Nord... good sequence.. yes that is a man in a kilt with his two dogs running up a hill ( it is Scotland.. what do you expect.. ) finally a few shots of the mist that stayed all day in the vale of Alford followed by a mucky XLV.. now washed off and somewhere warm.. good day.. but eventful

tried adding pics here gave up so put a link into the album

remberance day run - Honda Trail Bike Forums

only in scotland do you get one man and his twa dogs running up that Hill.. there is a sequence in the album.. this guy was really going for it

    getting the hang of this

heres some of the deadly slush in Glen Livet the smokey thing id the guys making more Glen Livet

    it was cold
