Vario sport camera kit from dogcam (very helpful guy) and a Panasonic NV-GS55.

I would opt for solid state recording if I recorded locally but miniDV tapes are easier to stow around the bike than a laptop although an external hard-drive would probably be ok. I also want to do off bike holiday footage.

I get one hour a tape which is normally about the time between coffee/pee/food/viewstops anyway, and carry a spare battey for the camcorder. The batteries for the bullet cam lasted the whole holiday and did over 10hrs of filming.

I used some editing software I got with firewire card. Ulead Videostudio 9.0. Nothing special and apparently it is normal for most graphics software to be quite unstable and crash often, so keep saving!!
