    Snow Ride

A week after the last lot the snow returned again overnight, this was the view from my house this morning....

We had good warning from the weather people the night before so I had the bike and the camera primed and ready to go.

I was going to head for the Mendips but the traffic was bad so I decided to go for some lanes north of Bristol that I hadn't ridden for quite a few years. The side roads were well slippery with 6 inches of snow on top of a couple of inches of ice in places

The lanes were superb as they had a good covering of fresh snow and no one else had got there yet

There were drifts in places which called for a certain amount of pushing and shoving but at least it kept me warm....

I was really enjoying myself as I haven't ridden in anything like this for well over 25 years and because there was no one about it gave me the chance to ride stuff that I wouldn't normally bother with.....

I even got to do a 'doughnut'

When I got to this lane you could clearly see the tracks of another lone rider, I wonder who it was

Of course the inevitable happened as I got too cocky and too much throttle resulted in this.......

No damage though as snow is nice and soft to land on

Here are some other shots from the ride.....

It was getting quite chilly now so there was just time to practise some more 'doughnuts' before heading for home

    cheers, Bob.

Yep I went through three fords today including that one, they may be more difficult by the weekend when that lot melts

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

    Great pictures.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

Some cracking pics Bob, good to see you're getting out to play! I've not been out yet, the roads are a mess up here but the big thaw started today so I'm hoping to get out at the weekend.
    Good on you mate.
