Early morning last saturday - convinced Dysan that it would be good to meet at 7am at a MCDonalds in Doncaster.
Start of the day

Couple of lanes in later we were off down the A1 towards Bawtry. Some good lanes there - so early we even had rabbits along the way.

ONe lane where there was tree lined covering and previous 4x4 ruts was our undoing.
Dysan took the right lane - Transalp and he did well took only 5 minutes and a few pulls on the engine bars to get round....
then I went down the left side.... doh

YouTube - DRZ400 and Transalp out for a green lane session - MUD

result 1 and half hour later - it was clay in the bottom of the ruts.

Ended up at a petrol station in Bawtry to get both bike and self's hoze down.

Still aching must be getting old. Best dirty weekend that was clean!

Been there, heart breaking about 20 minutes in when you realise you're not 21 any more and the bike seems to have doubled it's weight and then tripled with the mud and then you sweat and ache and you think you've had enough but you laugh you're tits off when you eventually get past it and the Mrs thinks you've lost the plot when you get home. Oh yes been there, and we all do it again when the memory fades just to show us we are as mad as the Mrs thinks we are.
You did well mate, but follow the alp next time, use him as a guinea pig and you can't go wrong.
Good quality on the vid as well, what cam is that and how's it mounted.

Oh, too right! And you get home and swear that you will never take a Transalp off road again where there is mud, and you promise yerself a proper lightweight bike ready for next time.... Oh yes!

Yeh was starting to think Dysan was god and mud didn't stick to him.
Fair game to him, top man wouldn't have got it out if it hadn't been for him.

Amazing, dont know what the weather has been like across there in Yorkshire / Lincolnshire? but we have had weeks of sun across this side on the Pennines (Runcorn). Would love to know what those lanes would be like in the wet season!!! Maybe you could let us know.....

Looks like you had fun though.
