    ride home

T'other week I popped down to Louhans (200k south of here) to visit the wife & Kids who were holidaying with her parents whilst I worked () The ride down on the sunday morning was without interest as it was just a quick blast down the RN6 which i've done too many times & already posted numerous pics from.

I spent 4 days having a "family time"

when we stopped at a Café for a drink, this little piggy announcd she wanted a beer

this little piggy wanted ice cream

& this slightly bigger piggy was just showing off her new dental brace

    8 & 1/2, going on 16...!

anyway, when I left to come back to work, I rode home a different way, through Chalon sur saone, couches, Autun, Chateau Chinon, Corbigny, Clamecy, & Auxerre didn't stop for many pics cos I was having far too much fun, but here's what I got

the vinyards of "La cote Chalonaise"

    erm...

    Le chateau de Couches

Roman amphiteatre at Autun, still in use...

I am not in the least bit jealous. No, not one tiny, weeny little bit.

Fabulous photos. Shame I'll not make it to France this year. Next year, maybe?

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

Nice pictures, I am not Jealous

    Much.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

that trip does take in what I consider to be the best biking road in burgundy

the D 978 from Autun to Chatillon en bazois, superb surface, empty road alternating twisties with loooong fast sweeping curves through the forests

    Bliss!

French cross country routes never seem to disappoint. Mulhouse to Reims via Thann, Remiremont, Epinal, Vittel, Neufchatel, Bar le Duc, +1 for superb surface, long, long, undulating straights, fast sweeping curves between woodland and fields...
    Brilliant.
