    Northern Classic Trial 2011

I was Marshalling on the Northern Classic Trial today. Here are a few shots of the some of the bikes and cars that went through my stage - a tight corner and slippery, steep ascent to the stage end. Enjoy...

I have to say these classic trials do like fun events to take part in. I'm hoping to get the XT250 sorted out this year and then enter next year - I wouldn't fancy trying to sling the GS round some of the sections.

About 4 years ago i saw 1 chap do it on an 1150 gs it had good times in the speed test but hopeless really on everything else. On the London - Lands End trial which passes though some of our stages there's one guy that regularily been seen doing ito a Caponard and they are heavy and cumbersum

Brilliant! It looks nice, dry and sunny there too!

There was an 1150GSA last year on the Northern Classic. Again I was observing a remote stage so I don't know how he did on other sections. He did OK on our very muddy hill climb section though. Although he didn't 'top out' I was impressed.

    Those are cracking photos Jim.

Nice to see the use of Black and White photography.

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

    Fantastic images there XRVJim,
The black & white pics certainly makes the event look even more classic, similar to watching Vic Allan doing his scrambling in the 60's & 70's.
A very good variety of machines including a proper car giving it big licks, that must have looked spectacular in the forest.
    Nice one !
