2 Frads day out:)

James and I went for our first ride out today since he passed his test and has restricted the multi coloured VFR400

We left home and made it to the Ponderosa just before the heavens opened so an extended lunch was called for !

We then headed through Llangollen to the Aquaduct along the valley, where the sun came out






Then over to Demon Tweeks for some farkles just as we left James pulled over and his clutch cable was fraying badly at the lever end

The phone calls began and eventually found hope at 'Everything But the Bikes' in Chester, we bought the closest we could from an NC29 but not quite right so a bit of a bodge later (Phil would be proud!!!)

A new one has been ordered but this has got him down to his brothers for the night!

Deffinately something special about riding with your son

My son also recently passed his test and despite him being pretty good every time we get to a tricky series of bends my heart is in my mouth. It's not a problem when he is in front but when he is behind and he drops back further than I would expect even for a few seconds I worry.

It happened twice today and it just gives me the willies.

Great photos though and glad you both enjoyed it.

I loved getting out for rides with my daughter when she passed her test.

Now I get the same feeling riding out with Ruth, just need her to get rid of the L's

I know that feeling real heart in mouth moments! he needs to work on his positioning on the road but on the whole not bad at all ......... after all hes had a good teacher
