    Lakes Weekend Pictures

There was a great turnout with nine riders coming from as far afield as Bournemouth and Dundee to enjoy early October camping in the western Lake District.

Excellent campsite (despite my jitters!). Lots of rain. Good beer and banter in the pub. Great campfire. I can't say much about the riding. As everyone set off towards Hardknott, I turned my wheels towards Carlisle and family duties. So, my apologies for leaving the party early - just one of those times when I knew I really should be somewhere else.

Whatever the location, whatever the weather, pitch your tent right and you can always have a great view in the morning!

The Honda end of the campsite!

Line-up: Snagger, Wheeliebin, Ritchie B, Colin, RoyMacNic (hidden behind Colin), IanS and McVicar. Missing is McVicars brother-in-law

    Run to the hills...

    Let's have some pictures folks...

    Saturdays Route

Thanks guys for a great run out.

For any one interested in the Photos

The route on Saturday was Hardnott Pass, Wrynose Pass, on to Ambleside. North to Keswick, through Borrowdale, over Honister Pass calling at Honister Slate Mine then down passed Buttermere to Cockermouth

Hope you enjoyed some of the Lakes best ‘ Tarmac’ roads

Hi guys, had a great weekend (well day, really).

Started out at 6.40 am (Sat), hit rain just past Scotch Corner, stopped for fuel at Kirkby Stephen and recieved Jim's text

" Weather not too good, I'd think twice about coming".

Great, That'll be why I'm WET then!!!

Great roads and stunning scenery, whos bothered by a bit of rain.

Hope everyone from away off had a good and safe trip home.

And if you look very carefully, there's me too! Well maybe that speck half way down the road is a blue Subaru

I was in the Lakes but with family and dogs and outlaws in tow I was in the car. Spotted a motley bunch on ATs and TAs guys taking pictures at the top of Hardknott and guessed who they must be. Only time for a brief hello... still, nice to have almost met you!
