How do you fancy 24hrs on your bike, having fun?

I was given this great little magazine a while back, called Triple, and it's "The offical magazine of the motor cycling club". In it there's lots of great pictures of people on their bikes, and in cars doing trialling.

Essentially there are 3 trials a year, and you can finish these at varying levels. Trials apparently last for 24 hours, and apart from that I don't know much, apart from the fact that it looks like bloody good fun.

Fifth gear covered one of the trials where they did it in a car, the video can be seen here I must admit, this looks like great fun, and something slightly different. Anyone here a member?

Looks brilliant, and I'm well up for it if we can use your car!

Yeah its a good little trail that

The Exeter one runs through our farm each year, used to be great fun to watch as kids. Would get all sorts heading up the lane

Doesnt cost much to do either!

    Cheers,

Thanks Bob, but you're meant to do it on your bike, not a car.

Cars are a separate class, think I'm going to join and have a go on my KTM, should be good for a laugh.

I've looked at these in the past, recon they could be really good fun. We had a chap on here who did a lot on an AT, cleaned every section and kept to time for a Gold award.
Haven't considered it this year though!

Can't speak for the rest; but Land's End Trial passes near me and has a proper off-road section at Blue Hills (next to the XRV 1st May camp site trip). I go and watch every year and have seen an @ get up there, but it's bl00dy steep up a rocky path on the cliff face. It's do-able if you grab the bull by the horns. Nearly all of the bikers I've seen are on Serows/ XR250s and the like. Every time a big bike/car lines up the crowd (and it is a big crowd) get their cameras out.

If anyone falls though the crowd n marshalls steam in and push up to the top - it's very public spirited and everyone gets cheered on.

    Good atmosphere.

Just back from spectating on Dartmoor.

It's a brilliant event, great atmosphere and after watching at Fingle Bridge I quite fancied a go... However after a visit to Wooston I'm reconsidering.

It was really cold but dry and clear yet by the time I'd left only three cars and a couple of bikes had cleared the section. And the marshals shortened it a bit! One guy on a Enfield made it about fifty yards up the hill, stalled three times and turned around to return to the bottom. It's so steep you struggle to walk it, and every one watching's a critic!

Class 0 could be the way to go, they bypass some of the hardest stuff.

Gonna get down to Lands End for the next MCC trial at Easter, I'm hooked!

    How is the KTM, Cie?
