Government Petitions (Against Bike Road tax increase and "Cheesewire" Barriers)

There are a couple of petitions that are worth signing namely

http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/motorcycle-tax/sign

http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/Barriers/#detail

The 1st is against road tax increases where bikes would be charged more money than cars poluting at the same rate.

The second one is about rope wire barriers that are being used increasingly on our dual carraigeways and have caused very serious injuries to motorcyclists but they are cheaper and work fine for cars hence becoming more common.

Please take a few minutes to sign up,

I'd happily pay up the road tax if the roads were safer.

And another.

Don't know why we need a petition against road tax though. I'm sure I remember an honourable member of Her Majesty's Government stating that motorcyclists do not need to pay road tax. Or something like that?
