Maybe it just takes that characteristic from one of its parents. I suspect that either you or your partner don't have handlebars.

That seems a rather painful way of obtaining a bike, I would rather adopt one.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE
