The annoying thing is Buses are by law able to travel at the 60 MPH on Dual carriageways and 70MPH on Motorways, they are restricted by the companies to save fuel.
A bike with an on off throttle response is more dangerous than a bike with a smooth throttle. 155 BHP is no more dangerous than a bike with 30 BHP, it depends on the rider.
I see plenty of Scooter boys pulling Wheelies and acting inappropriately, they don't have 100+ BHP.

trucks are permitted to do 60 mph on motorways in this country but bloody eu law means the limiter has to be set at 89 kph or 54 mph now
adds quite a bit too your journey times especially if you do a lotof motorway trunking like me, 6 mph down is 60 miles less at the end of a 10 hour day

The part I do not understand is our double deck buses can travel at normal road speeds over here but they are governed to EU regs, they are not allowed on the continent, they are too high for the bridges.

100+bhp? Who needs it? Try following Steve T when you're up at the national! You'll soon see who needs it? Ha ha!

I've ridden hypersports and can see the attraction, damn they can pull! Not always needed but then who needs TCK80's ,,,,, all the time?

Each to their own, why sports cars? Why climb mountains? Why own a boat? The sportsbikes market is huge in this country and obviously has many followers. I love my bike, just as the sportsbike owners love theirs. I wouldn't want to have mine "doctored", damn, I hate this mamby pamby state!
