I didn't know Lady V rode: I assumed she just sat behind his Lordship and plotted World domination. As was said after TLD, it'd be good to get more weemen into the club. Civilising influence and all that. (Mind you, what about Sharrie)
Hmph. I decided to take two car tests and two hazard-perception tests, just to satisfy myself that I'd passed, you understand...
Looking for hazards and responding as a driver with 23 years under my belt, I failed miserably. Clicking at every passing leaf, I got a stunningly high reading (97% I think). What a stupid test!
Well done Lou!![]()

Sorry to hear about the car test, Jarl. Keep at it, in many ways it's more a matter of luck than judgement IMHO.
General consensus of opinion seems to be that it must be a "Leicester" thing re staff attitude at the Test Centre. I was really surprised at the unnecessary rudeness and brusqueness that I (and others) met with - maybe they were just having a bad day, though it was only 8.30 am. or maybe that's why - not enough coffee
.
I also had a 'wet' clip. Didn't know whether to click cos the road was wet & slippy. That's what I mean by it being a difficult challenge - you're trying to second guess what you're "supposed" to be doing, not what represents a real hazard. I can see the sense of raising hazard awareness and checking reaction time, but I don't think this is the way to do it.
Anyway, thanks to all for the congrats. Will keep you posted on progress from here, though it's going to be a while before I get time to take things further.

Yes, I bought the DSA DVD for the bike theory test, thinking it would include the hazard perception. Only to find (the night before the test - like all good students I'd left revision till the last moment) that it didn't include it and I'd need to buy ANOTHER DVD
. A good money-making venture on behalf of the DSA indeed.
