Elizabeth Kubler-Ross: Quotes: Adventure
It is only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up that we will begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it were the only one we had.
we only trackday and mess about with it, i use it as a road car more than anything.
we have a club meeting on the isle of wight in april and the car is bare ali..... so loads of metal to polish!

ours is 1.6 Holden (realy an old astra GTE lump with a strange head on it) we have about 145 BHP at the back wheels but as it's a live axle it only comes in at 465 KG so very swift.
I have a 195 BHP 2L vauxhall engine from a mates caterham sitting here ready to fit but i think that will be next winters project (when i have got around to putting some heating in the workshop) as it is very involved going from carbs to injection.

I started with a 1.7 xflow standard engine then got a 1.8 with a diesel crank in it ! odd i know but built by Richard Longman and was bullit proof thats what I won the championship with in the roadgoing class then I got a 2.0ltr Xflow Bored and stroked to give the cc's but that let go big styleran it with slicks and stripped it that only weighed about 410kg
Weight is everything
If you need any bits or advice a mate of mine works for Demon Tweeks in Wrexham who is also a Caterham nut !!he builds them for people and also Hillclimbs them
Next best things to bikes in my book![]()

I agree as close as you can get to a bike on the road (just not the best for filtering)
what axle did you have ? the slicks kick the crap out of mine, am on the second re-build already and have problems again and i am just running 048's (they do look very like the back tyre of my Blackbird !).
Top gear has done so much for the image of these cars in the last two years, kids thought it was a kit car before and now stop and ask questions.
the only downside is the bikes all do more miles on a tank of fuel, i struggle to get 120 miles out of a tank on a run, at silverstone last time we ran it it did 45 miles on a tank (about 15MPG)
