Oh No.. I found driving cars so dull I wasn't using it much and I sold mine. Give me a bike anytime.

Top man, I used to be a roving sales executive and spent many, many hours behind the wheel. Now I drive very occasionally, normally when the missus has had a drink.

Now I can't stand driving and would rather ride everywhere on two wheels even when it's raining.

    Well done that man!

Know what u mean about the time required to be an observer, gave up any though myself as I already do that much.

Recently did my car one of sorts, learning to be a driving instructor though I don't drive or own a car now either...sold mine once I got the bike too. Made passing more difficult too.

If you got the time then go on to be an observer. Just leave out the old centre stand thing!

    Hi Boris,

Did you make any decision? I passed my IAM test on Saturday and I'm wondering what to do next.
The guy who took me out on the test asked me if I'd thought about observing and at the time it hadn't crossed my mind that I'd be good enough, but now I've passed I'm wondering if it's an option to improve my skills.
It's either that or RoSPA and I'm thinking something is going on at my local RoSPA as I know one or two guys thinking of re-joining IAM

I did decide to go ahead with my observer training and I started with a new associate a couple of weeks back.

I'm also working with one of the Senior observers and it's useful seeing the differences between different observers styles.

    So far it's really enjoyable.
