Finally got organised and just called to reserve my tent space. Looking forward to it now. Should be there by 19:00 on Friday!!!

Just need to get my tent sorted. Ordered a Banshee 300 from Ebay. Arrived yesterday, put it up this morning in the garden to find a rip on the groundsheet....and tape on the inside....and a lot of sand in it. Supposed to be brand new. Really annoyed. Fingers crossed I can send back and get a replacement by Friday otherwise me and the missus are back in our 16 year 2 berth old festival tent thats seen better days....and it was the cheapest around 16years ago!!.

Oh, and when he gets to teenage, he's going to let you down big time - and often - so get your retaliation early (speaks the father of a 15-year-old boy).
Not only do I get sound advice but family counselling too with a tenner subscription...cant beat that!!!!

I am one of the three coaches....can't let them down but as someone said above get plenty of time to get back into london Saturday night
Does anyone know if it is possible to sleep somewhere with no tent..? Is there a bunk house or something...?

Yes. I would like to know as well. I am considering coming over for a night but as I have no camping gear at all, I am a little hesitant. Also I still haven't got any engine bars, panniers and only road tyres on my @ and am not in a position to purchase all the above equipment immediately. I do have a honda top box though. Failing that I might just take a ride down to the A1/A14 junction for a coffee with the guys meeting there and ride up part of the way before I turn back.

I have some throw over panniers that you can have if you collect them.
Road tyres will be fine as there is bound to be a road only ride out.
If you need a tent I can loan you one, Its a bit on the heavy side at 7kg (vango beta 450) again you'd have to collect it though

You won't need off-road tyres m8, my ride is road only, as is Phils (off-raod included with an on-road alternative) and Paleriders may take the extreme nadgery roads and a couple of dodgy fords but will be tarmac, only bazzas is off-road i believe.

Re: Nat Meet 2010 - Sept 9th to 12th Rosedale, Yorkshire.

Wunderground.com predicts mostly trace amounts of rain on Thursday (20%-30% chance of rain) and 0.25, 0.51 & 0.76mm of rain @ 30% for Friday (per 3-hour period).

Saturday trace amounts @ 20%, and Sunday morning should bring clear skies (so hopefully we can pack our tents dry).

By 1pm on Sunday, we need to get out of there, as it will start raining again, with as much as 3mm of water coming down between 1 & 4pm...

For the whole period, temperatures under 10 Celsius are quite unlikely...

    Then again, maybe not...
