    Rosedale booking

Myself and Derek were out for several hours today checking out roads but we started at Rosedale Abbey so i can check on the booking and make sure all was well. I did this as the lady who originally booked it for me said she was leaving and to come back closer to the date to make sure everything was ok.

They were slightly concerned that only 8 had sent in the forms and i got the impression they thought folks wouldn't turn up. They mentioned a deposit and i explained i was told we didn't have to put down a deposit (told by the lady who has now left) so we have come up with this.

Anyone going to the national, telephone this number 01751 417 272, explain you are telephoning regards the Septempter XRV Group booking. They can take the details from you for the form and fill one in for you and also take a deposit.

Chris, i think ice sorted somewhere with wi-fi, i'll pm you.

EDIT: It is £8 per night.

do we need to ring if we have sent the form in?

I don't want to end up making a double booking if I can help it.

    Re: Rosedale booking

yes well done craig, everyone who goes owes you and the other sorter outers a beer. thats you screwed for the weekend then.
ian i would call them just to confirm your booking if i were you.

just called and booked my 2 pitches (we're in the meadow apparently, is that right?), £48 paid in full cos i cant be bothered with deposits and all that, i tend to forget whose paid what.
now i just have to remember ive paid in full already........
when i explained what an XRV was and said there were a load of bikers descending on them from all over there were a lot of feminine 'ooos and aahs' in the background. boy, are they in for a dissappointment

    see you guys up there.

You can still ring and sort out your deposit/payment, just eexplain you have already sent in the form and they refer to it.

IT was, change of plan as of today (nothing to worry about) we will be in a section closer to the opening of the site. I just mentioned how many may turn up (this is why the booking and deposit are essential so they know numbers) and as long as we had enough room (or near enough) for the group to camp together then anywhere on the site that is best for them suits us.

Yes they were very helpful when i went there and also on the phone. They don't seem to be put off by us being bikers.

She did reiterate though that there is to be no open fires (under any circumstances) but BBQ and gas stoves (so long as kept off the grass) are fine.
