I’m selling by trusty 2003 XR250R due to buying another bike and not having enough space for them both. Bought it late last year for some greenlaning and it has been great fun and 100% reliable.

It’s a 2003 model and as you can see it has low miles and comes with 3.5 months MOT and 4 months tax.

It’s not showroom condition as you would expect for this type of bike but mechanically it is sound and has never let me down.

I was planning on keeping it so I just gave it a good service. Things done include:

* Oil and filter change
* Brand new (and I mean brand new - less than a mile use) Chain and sprockets – Top of the range DID X ring chain, not some cheap chain that will stretch in no time.
* Brand new headlight as the old one got cracked by a stone thrown up by another bike.
* Brand new clutch plates, springs and cable – EBC plates and springs with a Venhill cable, again top quality parts.
* New rear brake pads and fresh fluid – The rear caliper was also split and serviced and cleaned with new seals.

The speedo seems to have stopped working probably just needs a new cable as the speedo drive is working.

So as you can see it has been looked after and will be a great bike for the buyer. If you are looking at this then you know of the legendary reliability of these bikes.

This bike kickstarts easily, first kick when warm, with no smoke, knocks or rattles. It also has a set of Renthal bars which are stronger and look better than the originals.

I've had a decent offer from someone coming to see it Saturday morning, I've sort of promised to hold it for him as he seems dead set on buying it, but as we all know these things have a habit of falling through.

If you make me an offer you never know...
