OK, the time has come for me to sell my RD04 as the calling from the Orange side is now too strong to resist
I will be made redundant at the end of the year and this will probably be my last chance to fork-out the kind of wedge I'll need for a KTM so the Africa twin must go to give me a starting block for saving.
The way I see it I can always come back to an @ if orange is not my cup of tea.
My Africa Twin has done 42,885 miles ( this may increase if I ride it)
MOT until 03.06.2009
Taxed until 31.05.2009
Good bits
SW Motech crashbars (these have marks on them)
Givi pannier racks
Remus end can - beautiful sound, plus original can for MOT time
IMS alloy footpegs
Brand new O/E rear disc
Rectifier and Battery replaced last year
The wheels have been rebuilt using stainless steel spokes and the rims and hubs powder-coated black
Bad bits
There is some rust in places, on the frame and footrest hangers
the casings are also a bit dull-looking
the off-side side panel is cracked and has a small chunk missing (if you need this you will have to go to the Stella Alpina)
the sumpguard has many dings and scratches
The bike is fitted with TKC's (the rear will need replacing soon)
I have tried to decribe this bike honestly and many of you will have seen it anyway.
It has only let me down once in three years (rectifier) and that includes trips to Europe.
I am asking £1450 for the bike as it is.
But I have a whole set of body panels for the bike which would make it look very pretty if that's what you want.
This includes front headlight fairing, front fairing (both sides), both side panels (including the tool-box cover), a complete sumpguard and the little short panels that sit ontop of the front-fairing.
That would bring the price up to £1650.
cheers, Bob.
