    Self-inflating mattress

    Self-inflating mattress

We bought this sleeping mat 9 years ago to go world backpacking for 5 months. The style is Australian made (brand: Earth Mat) and doesn’t seem to be available anymore, so we don’t have any details to provide except.
    It weighs 1100gms
    It is 48.5 X 177 X 2.5 cm

    Packed 26L X19D cm thick/short roll, or 54L X 15D cm long/thin roll,

The mat is in excellent condition with no holes or leaks and shows no signs of delamination. Excellent thermal insulative properties and is very comfy.

The mat hasn’t been used much since 2000. It’s now been upgraded to a superlight and extra small packing version for our upcoming RTW motorcycle trip. Comes with two bags (see picts). Asking £15 ono (shipping costs not included).

These are the two bags and is next to a BMW system 5 helmet for size comparison (helmet not included)

    Re: Self-inflating mattress

Yes it is true. We are planning a RTW, we have gotten as far as even booking a leaving date. So next year on 4th June 2009 we leave! the route is still TBA.. but the current line of thinking is Fly to central america (skip the USA too exxy).. go south (central America then South america) reach the tip.. fly to South Africa, ride north.. then if funds allow ride east though asia to go home to AUS. We plan on stopping at on ground wildlife conservation efforts along the way, and help out for a bit on each. Dont know how long yet but we are thinking a year..

SO anything you BUY FROM US IS ££ GOING TOWARDS THE TRIP!
WE will have lots to sell and more as time gets nearer...
So I will be posting a lot in here...
