    1998 Africa Twin Low mileage

10,500 miles, Here is my 1998 Africa Twin XRV 750 in Black with the better tiger graphics.12 Months MOT(just done) and 8 months TAX. Bought the bike to go round parts of Europe but this never happened, so shes up for sale. There are not many XRV's left like this one for the following reasons. 2 owners from new (including me) i bought from origanal owner. 10500 miles full service history, service book stamped up. All MOT's going back to 2001 when first MOT was needed (backs up low mileage). Both keys still present. I have added the following since buying, upgraded FACET fuel pump (origanal is known for failing but i still have the origanal which does work fine, did not want to be in europe with a broken fuel pump!). Taller blacked out screen (still have clear origanal screen) off-road tyres (also have spare normal road tyres front and rear). I have recently had the rear brake pads changed. I installed a K&N air filter. The bike has just had a full service. The bike runs really well. This XRV has had a really easy life never used off-road as it should be, It took me over a year to find this one, it is in amazing condition. first to see will buy. any questions just ask. £3,450.

This is the bike I have been asking about in the AT forum (Is it too dear?), If the price came down a bit I would be knocking on his door with the readies.

Hi Bigrog I think the bikes in top condition. and on its own worth £2700.However the low milage and full history should make it worth 3k ish. If someone gives the feller £3500 then good luck to him.

Yep I think you are on the button there, that is exactly what I was thinking, at the end of the day you have got to feel good about buying anything, even more in todays climate whith the pennies getting harder to come by and I think to pay over 3k, I would not feel I had got a fair buy, still we shall see what happens, I am in no rush to part with my hard earned right now for anything less than a good buy.

Re: 1998 Africa Twin Low mileage

Now let me see if I've got this right ???????

This bike was bought this spring for £2700 and discussed on this very forum at the time (due to the seller's lack of basic manners).

The same bike is now for sale again , some 4- 5 months later for £3450 and the only "upgrade" is the fuel pump.

If I have confused any of the facts the I'm sorry , but if not - WTF ????

The bike books at £2700 - end of story !!! If your daft/saft enough to part with £3450 - the very best of British to you.
    2011 Triumph Tiger 800 - "Black Pussy" - MMMM Nice !!!
    2000 Suzuki DRZ400S - "Ol' Yella" - very bright
    2011 Peugeot V-Clic 50cc - "Scoot" - It's my wife's, an enjoyable ride.

    I have a house , but I can't guarantee it's safe !!
