I was looking in depth at buying one of these in July/August. I love the S but feel it falls short of a true 'classic' colourscheme so was looking at black 990s to protect the resale (will always be popular). Sadly though, the market has fallen quite a bit for these bikes so I've bought a great *value* XT660R until prices have settled and the market/resale values stabilise.

I offered some guy £6000 for a 2006 with low miles in July, he said no,£6100 and lo and behold he has had no interest at £5900 ever since. Frustrating.
