    My well-sorted XL650V6 Transalp

    For sale: my well-sorted and painstakingly maintained Honda XL650V6 Transalp;
    Registered September ’06, road tax to end October 2009;
    Silver, 12100 miles, excellent condition, 2 owners from new
    Oil change at 12,000 miles, full service at 8,000 miles including replacement steering bearings, rear suspension linkages stripped and greased, new OE Honda-spec chain and sprockets;
    Continental Escape tyres, new rear just fitted;
    Honda top box, centrestand, heated grips, tank pad, 12v accessory socket;
    2 x 21 litre Givi hard cases and fittings;
    Several effective mods including: exhaust header pipes from ABP Racing in Germany – http://supermoto-umbauten.de/109/Krümmer.html - which are believably claimed to increase torque by 10%. The original header pipes to be included in the sale;
    PAIR air injection system removed. I still have the parts in a box. It has also has the main jets changed to 125. I still have the originals. These changes have improved both power and fuel consumption;
    Modified Powerbronze screen with separate spoiler to improve wind protection;
    Steel motocross-style footpegs fitted. The brake and clutch levers are shortened by 10mm and Acerbis-type brush guards fitted;
    Additional aluminium bash plate covering the underside of the engine. The only off-road riding the machine has done was the 2008 Stella Alpina, which went without incident;
    The only scuffs and cosmetic damage to the bike are worn paint on the footpeg plates and stone marks on the plastic bash plate;
    All paperwork, spare keys for bike and panniers and both Haynes manual and owners handbooks. The bike has the complete original tool kit;
    Spares including oil filter, all exhaust gaskets, original screen, original exhaust header pipes
    Runs perfectly, with a really pleasing exhaust note and much harder acceleration than standard. The original silencer is retained, so there is no MoT issue with the header pipe.

    £3,250. Bike located in Sutton, Surrey. Inspection welcome. Test ride available with proof of insurance cover to ride and cash deposit of full selling price.
