Old seat for 01 Transalp.

Has anyone got an old seat that they no longer require/want which would fit a 2001 Transalp? I've got a buddy looking at Airhawk seats in Florida for me, but on account of having stumpy legs the only way this could work is if I take an old seat, remove cover, strip foam away from pilot seat, recover, and put on the old airhawk. That way my feet might just touch the ground without having to kant the bike over at terrifying angles.

Keep an eye out on ebay for the low seat option. I have seen them go for less than £10, well Ok I bought on once for a tenner in anticipation of my wife passing her test and being able to ride my TA. So its not for sale.... yet.

whats yr inside leg measurement (dont panic i'm not of the "other persuasion !!)

I have Std & Low seat & Airhawk - im a diddly 5Ft 6 ins / 30 inch inside leg & can use std seat with Airhawk - just !

Im my opinion thew Low Seat only good with Airhawk anyway as it seems to be a std seat with anorexic padding so a REAL P.I.T.A. on its own for me !!

I bought my Airhawk from staes & even paying shipping i cld sell it for profit ! I would "go for it" if you have mate over there & see what ya think. If you dont like it flog it on (they take a bit of gettin used to - feel very odd at first (reminiscent of 70's Jap bikes without airhawk !!) but a REAL PLEASURE !!
