    Africa Twin...

...not by me, but I was in Robinson's of Rochdale talking about the new KTM SMT (and test rides thereof), and we get to chatting generally, and I mention my previous @, so the bloke says "I've got this one coming in next (this) week, whaddya think?" , and I have to say from the pics I saw it looks a belter - 2001 or 2002 (I forget), RWB, and very clean.

Anyway, if anyone in the NW area's looking for an @, it might be worth giving Matt at Robinson's a call to get in and have a first look before it's advertised all over.

I wonder if it's Arborist's AT. His was for sale on here a week or so ago and is a very tasty looking RWB @ and I believe he's P/Xd it for a KTM.

Yep, I'm pretty much positive it's that one. I hadn't initially made the link between Ingleton and Rochdale, which is why I didn't think it was that one

I thought it was unusual, an @ going on sale somewhere without us lot hearing about it first...

    ORANGE bike RED face!!
The XRV detective agency solves origins of mystery Africa Twin!!!!!!
You are right gents its my @ thats going to Rochdale in px for an orange KTM 990!!...........now for the embarrasing part..........Rode over to Rochdale on Monday to make the exchange....enjoyed the ride even through the sleet & rain! heated grips on full blast and thermals protecting the wedding tackle the @ was burbling over the M62 I was really enjoying the ride. Gets to Robinsons and after being welcomed by Matt with a lovely cup of coffee I soon thaw out and we sit down to sort the paperwork!

So I hand over the Log book and documents for the Africa, give Matt the insurance certificate to tax the KTM now all I need is my wallet to pay the balance!......errrrr..umm..wallet?.....inside pocket ?..nope!......jeans pocket?.....errr...nope!!.....by now my face is a brighter shade of red than a royal mail post box............sitting happily on the kitchen worktop 105 miles away my WALLET was completly oblivious to all this!!!

Happily all is going to work out in the end as Matt has a bike to deliver to Barnard Castle just 10 miles down the road on Saturday so I should be posting some pics of the ORANGE beastie!!!

The moral of the story is.................well you tell me
