1998 RD07 Black and Gold For Sale 37974 miles

For those of you with a good memory, this was up for sale last year , and I didn’t have the heart to sell it. In the end a couple of months later, the FJ1200 went and I bought a Varadero XL-1000V8 to add to the AT .
Since then (August 2008 the AT has been out three times, -when my brother borrowed it for our Scottish Tour, - to have braided front brake hoses fitted and -for the MOT last November.
It’s a fab bike, and it’s a great shame to be sat doing nothing, but the Varadero is first choice on a run in the sun. So XRV.org.uk get the first chance for a buy and then it will go to ebay. I’m in no rush, , but will do first come first served for viewings etc. Test drive with cash.

Front and Back brake pads still fine but probably could do with changing for the summer- so replacement disk pads included in the sale

Lots of Stainless Steel Bolts and nuts added to replace usual chocolate/ corroded ones.

Usual slight pitting on wheels, and some usual rubbing-corrosion where lacquer lifted on crank case, engine covers etc , very small ding in sump guard.
One or two slight small cracks around a couple of fairing fixings
Exhaust header protector off (Nuts snapped when I was trying to take it off), I have the cover but needs spot weld, just havent got around top sorting it.
Overall good condition . Runs sweet

Finally there is a slight rattle from the clutch when the bike is still and not in gear, I believe it is the clutch springs that have weakened (This is my guess from research) . I have these , but haven’t had the time to replace, also included with sale.

The little mark on the top above the HONDA text is not a hole, its where another seat was resting on it.
It should come out once its allowed to recover a little. Or with a good suck
