XL 600LM

The time has come to sell my XL 600LM PD-04 as I need the space in my garage.



It is a 1987 bike with 37,841 kms (23,513 miles) on the clock

It is in very good condition and I have treated it to the following

Foot pegs widened,



New Old Stock Side Panels (perfect)





New Tank trim
New Mirrors
New spare Brake pads (not needed yet)
New spare Brake lever
New spare Clutch lever
New Old Stock Headlight surround (perfect)



New Foam grips



New Handlebars



Very good condition used hand guards



The chain and sprockets are very good and the oil is clean, the engine starts and runs perfectly with no smoke or strange noises, it really is perfect.

It has a road legal BSM silencer fitted.



Everything on it works as it should and the speedo is in kms so I take it that it has at some stage been imported from Europe.

The tank is in very good condition with only a couple of minor scuffs on it.





Wheel rims are like new and the tyres have lots of wear left in them





The worst thing on it is the rear mudguard which has crazed on the outer layer of the plastic (maybe caused by too much time in the European sun?).



The bike has an MOT which expires on 6th November 2009. It doesn't have a UK tax as it is currently registered in Guernsey, Channel Islands and will need to be re-registered with DVLA.

I'm looking for £1500 as I have spent well over than on it.

Would it be liable for import duty?

It would be best for you to check but AFAIK it would be liable to have duty paid on it. But I dare say that a "creative" receipt would help in relation to that
