XRV750 Africa Twin RD04 Front Forks

XRV750 Africa Twin RD04 pair of complete air assisted fork legs, straight with no rust, good seals, good condition top caps and working valves. It looks like the sliders have been brush-painted silver but as that's hidden by the guards, it's not really an issue.

I think these will also fit later models but I'm not 100% sure. Perhaps someone who knows for sure can confirm.

(Pics to follow when I get a spare few minutes in the garage)

How does £75 +p&p to UK sound?

PM me or email rd04parts@aphsol.co.uk

Hi Dan,

I can post to Germany but I expect it won't be cheap. I'll drain the oil and weight them and then get a quote for you.

Re: XRV750 Africa Twin RD04 Front Forks

Hi Dan, forks now drained, weighed and examined.

Here's the photos - I can email full size if you want:

All the threads look good for the mounts and the swept area on each fork is free from pitting and corrosion. The top caps are fine and the valves are good. There are some rust pits on the portion that would sit between the top and bottom yokes and I've tried to show the worst bit on the photo where someone has used an abrasive on a small bit of rust. The lowers are brush painted silver which isn't pretty but an hour with a wire brush and a respray should sort that out. That's hidden by the guards anyway.

None of the cosmetic challenges will interfere with the operation of the forks so they are in serviceable condition. They were not leaking when they came off the bike and felt fine.

I can get them delivered to Germany on a 2-5 day DHL Europlus service for around £20 if I remove the springs and compress them to get under the 1m max dimension limit. If I don't break them down the best quote is £60!!!

So delivered price to Germany £95 all in.

I'll pack them up and arrange the courier as soon as you give me the nod and bung some dosh into my PayPal account - PayPal email address is rd04parts@aphsol.co.uk

Okay Dan they're yours. I know that putting money into PayPal takes a week or so - I'll hold on to them for you and won't sell them to anyone else in the meantime

Cheers Dan. PayPal received. I'll get packing tonight and book a pickup. I'm not around Thursday so it'll be booked for Friday. I'll let you know when they are on their way.
