    Transalp 600

Got a mate of a mate who is about to join the ranks of two wheel enthusiasts and he needs a reasonable first bike. He has looked at a couple of old Beemers and sensibly, has recoiled from what is on offer around £1500. We were talking last night and I know he is quite taken with the idea of an 'alp and I reckon he should be able to get a good 'un for that sort of money. He is about 6'2" so an alp will be a sensible size machine too.

Anyone know of a tidy one in the W. Midlands area, say Oxford North to Manchester, East to Nottingham?
