Well in ran fine when the bike was in one piece.I was going to put it in my XR,but got hold of another 600 lump,so didn't need the hassle of fitting a battery,wiring etc
other than that,I can't tell,hence the price To put it into perspective,I've just bought an incomplete engine,with no cam,valve followers,valve cover,clutch cover,for nearly three hundred.
As for postage I would imagine it would be about 40 quid or so considering the weight.

Well Being an RFVC Lump,I'd say yes.
Yours is one of the first made XL's though being an 83,though it should fit fine

hi,my engine has a valve seat broken up.
it is also an rfvc.
the bike is original and has,ent been messed with apart from 26 years of wear and tear.
just got it off ebay with a known engine fault.
i have been after one of these for 21 years.
i am very intrested in buying the motor

Hello do you have the two plastic heat shields that cover the exhausts?
