    RD07A Low miles needs work

Spotted this today at VMCC Banbury run autojumble.

One owner, stolen recovered, only 5000 miles!!!!

Had a good chat with owner, he bought it in this condition in 2002 and has stored it since. Apparently it runs well. V5C in his name.

Needs all plastics and a lock set (i have a lock set) rims look scruffy but overall condition supports the mileage.

He wants £1300.00 seems a good buy to me, new parts and a clean up would be a desirable bike.

I have his phone number, think it is in the Bedfordshire area.

    PM me if your interested.

Got to be worth thinking about.

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

Going by the Wiki on this site, that machine ain't no 2002 model either - a 1999 maybe, but not a 2002 with that paint scheme.

It's exactly the same as mine, 1998 'S' plate. definitely NOT a year 2002.

it could be an imported 1998 second hand bike
date of 1st registration in the uk would be 02 and then given an age related plate- S for 98

must admit it's got me thinking as well....where's me piggy bank

Re: RD07A Low miles needs work

The guy selling it is Greek, but lives in UK. Showed me the docs in his name. Definitely a UK bike not an import, think it was a '98 or '99 not a 2002.

    As to condition....

I was with a pal who has rebuilt four Africa Twins, i have rebuilt one myself, we both considered this an easy, but costly, repair. But we are both proficient spannermen.

As a bike to repair and profit from? not this one.

But if someone want's an @ as a bike for themselves this could be a good buy.
