Hi all,
Well the RD03 has got to go. I've realised that I'm never going to get round to fixing her and need the cash and space in my garage.
She's in desperate need of lots of TLC, I'm afraid but was running when I rode her into the garage about 2 years ago.
Bits that I know need attention:
- Front brakes need rebuilding (they are currently removed).
- New neutral switch is needed.
- New rims on both front and back (I have a front rim that will go with the bike which is in decent condition, however it still needs to be spoked to the hub).
- The origional exhaust has been ditched due to resembling a block of swiss cheese, however I have another exhaust that will go on and a spare exhaust which I think is off a RD07 but doesn't fit my bike.
- I have wired a tripmaster into the clocks, but the wiring needs finishing off so you get several spare sets of clocks with the bike.
- The plastics have a few cracks and are pretty tatty and one of the hinges on the toolcase is broken, but there doesn't seem to be anything so serious that some fibreglass and ingenuity shouldn't be able to fix.
- The carb is currently removed, but is functioning fine and just needs putting back in.
The bike has a centrestand (which it is currently resting on as the rear wheel is removed) and I think it has braided brake hoses (can't check cos I'm at work). It's located near Cambridge. I'm looking for £500 for it. I'll look it over this weekend and post anything that I missed.
