I have a friend who has a A Grab handle to enable you to put the bike on its centre stand, its a small metal loop that bolts under the NS side panel. Do you still need one?

I will ask him what he wants & get back to you.

I got my tank cover directly from Baglux UK and it was only £86 new, try'em
(I also got a bag for the @,took it on a run to Spain and ended up doing most of the trip with it strapped on top of the top box as it really restricts the steering when off road )

Re: WANTED. AT.RD07A FNS ( left) cheek panel plus more

I am currently repairing some Africa Twin plastics to fit to my bike. I want to do a custom paint job including blending in and painting the screen as ROvers did. I enjoy playing around with bits.

My point is, from looking at your panel it doesnt seem too difficult to repair.

The ones I am repairing have large cracks in them. I have purchased some ABS glue sold for this purpose by a pain suppliers and will be experimenting on some scrap plastics first.

I will post the results up.

The ABS glue (bonder) is claimed to be flexible and strong, its supposed to bond as strong as original. They have bonded samples on show in the body shop including a plastic car radiator.

A pack sufficient to do all my panels cost £10. The bodyshop suppliers also sell an elastic filler £5 for a tube and plastic primer. The panel is then sprayed with the solid colour or a base coat and clear.

I hope to end up with some smart robust panels that I can custom paint.

From your picture I think your panel looks recoverable.

Ps the panels I am repairing have had a previous repair attempt by someone using fibre glass matting and resin. It just peeled off, there was no evidence of any strong bonding and the cracks had allready started to re appear through the re-painted surface.

I am also taking the bike to someone who makes stickers to see if they can re produce the AT ones.

Well The panel on my bike is held together by the decal only, I balanced it together for the photographs. ( its in pieces)
Many years ago ( about 29yrs) I used to plastic weld when I was a commercial 'Fish Farmer' ( trout and salmon) I may just give it another try
but have none of the gear anymore, I can feel an improvised idea comming on!.

    Cheers
