    Heat shield for 1992 RD04

I figured out now why there's 4 threaded nuts welded to the outshide of the end can on my newly-acquired '92 RD04

So, has anyone got a heat shield thingy that I can attach to said 'oles please?

    Cheers

Cheers matey, but I mean the one that looks like a chrome wire thingy that bolts over the actual end can. There's 4 threaded nuts welded to the outside of the end can and I believe looking at photies that this chrome thingy belongs there.

I think you have an RD07 end can. . . . . the RD04 has only three mounting point's for the chrome wire gaurd.

Hi Mungrel Does your @ have Pannier Racks/Rails fitted to it.I had to remove the Chrome Guard from the end can Because it was in the way and the pannier rails would not line up.The End can on your @ should have three Mounting points as you look down on the end can there should be 2 mounting points along the top and 1 in the middle below these .It appears the end can has been changed to a later model,With 2 mounting points at the top and the 2 below around 1 to 1 and a half inches narrower as you look down on the end can.Francis

Hi all and thanks for the kind replies

Here's a pic of the silencer. It appears that my bike may have a silencer from a different model. THe bike is a 1992 RD04, I believe.

    Cheers
