This is the manual that Honda Dealership service department actually use. It is in a used condition (worn edges, the odd fingerprint etc), but isn't falling apart or illegible in any place. It says it is for the XL650V - Y model, but as far as I know it will cover all the 650 models (04 later models have slightly different wiring and switchgear due to " always on " headlights).

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

Why didn't you have that a few days ago. Just got one off ebay.
Does this one also have contradicting fork oil levels? In the spec page it says 141mm "Fork Fluid" but in the fork rebuild page it says 133mm ATF. Mines at 141mm using 5W and feels much better than the 10 year old oil that was in there
