At on ebay - Anyone on here selling this?

Just wondered if anyone on here is selling this bike (I doubt it) just had a right snotty reply about the condition of the output shaft!! Not that its for me, my brother in law is now looking to 'join the AT club' . Just asked a simple question if teh seller had any pics and got a right mouthful back!!!!

The reply was: -

"oh for christ sake! i'm sorry but i get pissed off by such ridiculous
questions!,
if you seriousely think that the "shaft issue" is an issue on a
bike like this then you really ought to get out more!!

You cant trust them even if they say its ok your right to ask for pics to prove it i bought mine of a copper in manchester asked the same question he said he's just put a new chain and sprockets on it and it was ok i took him on his word and found out he was a lying pr1ick the splines were well worn and the new chain was'nt new even though he gave me the reciept for it as proof after a few thousand miles it was knackered it had new sprockets with a cleened up old chain
Anyhow they were my problems good to see you got the sense to ask for proof

The fact the guy claims to have owned 20 AT's must know it's a potential issue if the chains been over tightened. Sound like he's a right knob, I recently sold my 1998 RD07a and posted up pics of the shaft, a small thing to do to prove there is no issue when selling. E£very new buyer of an AT should ask to see pics, it's an expensive error if you don't ask or see it in person.

"high output alternator" I wonder what modification that is, Never heard of a higher rated generator that could be fitted to the AT.

To bad the seller can't respond politely to a perfectly natural and polite put question.

Take Your money elsewhere and hand them over to someone that respects You, and your questions as a potential buyer.

I knew the back ground in the pics looked familiar, he bought and sold an @ in the last year. Reading his feedback makes him look like a bit of a dealer.
All that said a bit of politeness does'nt cost anything.

This same guy was selling an RD04 some months ago. Prior to riding up to see the bike I put the same question to him about it's shaft,. He gave me almost the same Bo**ocks answer,but he got some bigger bo**ocks back. I've got his apology (mainly 'cause I had cash ready) somewhere, but I've never bought a bike (or anything else) from a source that has f**cked me off.

here we go!someone says something about an output shaft on one of the web forums and all of a sudden every africa twin has a dodgy one,
having had approx 17 africa twins over 20 years ive only ever had one with a leaking seal and worn bearibg and it was a real dog of an xrv 650 that was running on one cylinder and had no 2nd gear,

A couple of days later I bought an (another ) imac' NX650 with 4500 on the clock from a real nice bloke on ebay (and this forum) He even delivered it to Cabby's house for me. I enjoy stuff more when it comes from good people !

Normally good things come from good people, so would not believe a word he has printed and hence would not buy anything from him despite what the feedback says!

I really don't understand why someone selling something is needlessly ignorant and rude to potential buyers. At 70,000 miles it's a fair question to ask and if I was selling one and someone asked, I'd just send them a photo and add it to the listing - unless I was talking $hit and had something to hide.

Talking of $hit - maybe if I had to drop everything at a moments notice to go and unblock people's septic tanks and paddle around in their faeces, maybe I'd not be much of a people person either Google the mobile number in the listing and don't post a link to his site unless you want to boost his search engine rankings.
