Djebel 250

... looking for something to do a bit of green laning. New to green laning so something not too mad and reasonably easy to handle, also I'm 5' 6" so not too tall.

Looking at at Suzuki 250 Djebel. Are these any good? does anyone have one or can advise me on them? What does the 'Djebel' mean?

Other option was a CRF230, new one for £2500 plus ££s to get it road legal, a bit too expensive for me but second hand ones seem to hold their price well.

Don't know what Djebel mean's but the bikes are ok.

Look at the yamaha serrow 230cc, they've been around for a while so older ones are quite cheap, low seat hieght and very capable.

Couple of road legal CRF 230s just went on e bay for a lot less than that could be worth the trip. Djebel is another form of desert wind or something like that

The Djebel means it has a huge headlight, it's a Japanese import. My mate had one for years, nice bike to ride, different engine to the DR350/250, better in fact. here he is enjoying it on an Essex green (brown) lane.
