    Project: lowering drz

    G'day all!

I'm after a bit of xrv wisdom concerning the lowering of my(wifes) 2006 drs400s.
Looking at a 2'' lowered seat on ebay and hopefully that'll be enough. At 5'7'' she might just be able to tiptoe around. The preload has about an inch of adjustability.
Thing is i dont want to muck about with the suspension too much (cos its awesome!) so dont really want one of them lowering link kits.

So any snippets of wisdom/experience/info would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks guys, you're great

some good info on tt forum:

    Lower DRZ 400 - ThumperTalk

Yes it sounds like first option is shave your seat or get suzuki gel seat, then maybe slide yokes down forks a bit and adjust preload.

    Re: Project: lowering drz

    Thanks again td,
went and read that last night. Also managed to drop the preload almost all the way this morning and I think were just about there. The missus managed to get both sets of big toes on't floor!
    Yay!

Hopefully with a lowered seat all happiness will be restored in the Bumblebeast household. Will report back as and when. Cheerio!
