it's here :) oh hai wee strom!

oh hai dere 6th gear
howdy doody, 70 mph UP a hill
how you doing, heavier than dark matter!

that's right....my weestrom is here

it's simply amazing
i love it lots

i cant believe how cool it is.
i'm still running it in. keeping it under 5k rpm
and it's got a restricted (i has till january til i is unrestricted)
yet still...i'm running it up to 70mph? clearly this bike has a lot of untapped potential...cant wait till my first service so can knock it up a notch.

had it since saturday (odo = 0) and now, 4 days later: 220 miles in the odo...and lookng like it's gonna last a lot more.

I know of a weestrom coming up for sale soon. It's got loads of miles on it but I must admit I am sorely tempted.

Re: it's here :) oh hai wee strom!

Sounds good, but as has been said where are the pictures

Assuming you bought it from Cupar or Saltire, what did you end up paying for it - if you don't mind telling. Which model the X or the ABS? I'm considering one for next year, unless something newer and shinier comes out (which I doubt).

Anyway enjoy the new bike, had a testride on it a couple of time, a brilliant bike!

Re: it's here :) oh hai wee strom!

yeah....abs version

still figuring out how to upload.
i need to subscribe i'm guessing?

got it from saltire...i got it stock, but got GAP insurance with it...so 300 on top of 5750

i've dropped it already

heavy thing

smashed the front right indicator
but aside from that....there was no other damage.....the pillion peg keeps it up....and it fell on the road, yet no scratches on the pannels? strange lol...but fortunate

going in for my first service next week...so gonna pay for a new one (new indicator....not a new bike lol)

its a git when you drop em isnt it, i dropped mine last year in the lakes district but got lucky and didnt break anything.

as for uploading, just upload a picture to somewhere like imageshack then post a link to it in here, as long as the link starts with that you are copying it should be fine.

Re: it's here :) oh hai wee strom!

Horrible feeling dropping a new bike. I've done the same a couple of times, lucky it's only one indicator. That's one of the V-strom's (very few) bad points, is that it's a bit top heavy especially with a full tank of fuel. Still won't put me off buying one next year though

Saltire have a good rep, nearly bought a black ABS they had in stock a month or so back. I was after an X version but they weren't keen on selling me the white one they had in stock, at the right price.

Enjoy the new bike!
