What would you carry with you for an extended trip? Right now I am carrying:
selection of spanners
pliers
a bit screwdriver
snips
a toothbrush
wire brush
the (included) Honda tool kit
Thinking about replacing some items to reduce weight.

Plenty of zip ties , a multi tool, some 380 grit emery paper, super glue and a good quality means of dealing with punctures ,be it plugs or patches![]()

If you are carrying tools then you feel competent to work on the bike. The tools you carry should be sufficient to do the work you would expect to do yourself.
To determine what tools you need, make a note of what you use when working on the bike and just select them.
After that its spare parts, cable ties, araldite, duct tape ans something to make holes on to put cable tie through. Oh, and chain oil!

Bungees or some strong string. If the worst does happen you can hold the fairing in place, secure luggage etc etc (I have been there and it works). Alternatively a roll of duck tape.
Multitool (Leatherman) will replace a lot of your Honda tools and be more useful overall. I find it isn't so much the weight of tools as the physical size they take up under your seat.
Most of what's already been mentioned above plus a good length of gaffer tape wound around a pen (it's much smaller), spare fuses, bulb kit, puncture emergency spray, plenty of cable ties and a spare clutch lever (on the basis that if I drop it, with linked brakes I could manage with a busted brake lever but with no clutch lever I'd be stuffed).
And a Carole Nash European Breakdown card.
Leatherman, misc ring spanners, set of allen keys, bitty screwdriver, suspension hook, little double action bike pump from lidl, rag, some ducttape, some zipties, some wire, stick of epoxy, bowden emergency repair set, length of fuel line, oil cooler bridge line, replacement U-joint.
Used for all kinds of purposes other than fixing my own bike, so far. (knock-knock)

gaffa tape
spare inner tubes
puncture repair kit
tyre inflator in a tube (tyreseal or something)
tyre levers and rim protectors
spare fuses

think thats it ( no kitchen sink - thats what the wet wipes are for)
If i'm going on a euro trip the bike gets looked at the week before, the only tools i carry are the honda tool kit and some mini fuses. If i'm going on holiday the last thing i'm doing is working on bikes while i'm on holiday, that's what AA euro cover is for not filling boxes boxes up with damn tools which which more than likely won't get used the space in the boxes could be used for more important stuff like local brews to bring home
