Transalp rims and powder coating

has anyone powder coated their rims to stop the dreaded honda wheel rot? and does anyone know if powder coating is really suitable for wheels.
Central Wheels in birmingham do sand blasting and powder coating for £30 per wheel.

The way I understand it, powdercoating isn't a great idea for rims.

It'll make 'em look great for a while, but a messy tyre change, or a rock in the road will soon batter a hole in the PC, and once it starts to go it'll soon look very tatty.


The rims on my supermoto are anodized black and seem easy to keep clean and shiny.


If you register on www.visordown.com and send a PM to brokenlegs on there, he should be able to help you out. He's sorted out a lot of the guys from the SM forum over there, and I've yet to hear a bad report. Cheaper than Central Wheel too.
