performance of the alp

Hey..newbie here....currently own a 95 Dommie and have been looking to upgrade to a Transalp(04 or 05 model)just wondering what you guys think of the Transalp..as in dirt and road performance...there are quite a few for sale here in australia and l'm currious as to why the owners would be selling them.
Have looked at the KTM and BMW and Aprilla 650's...but from what i can see, the value for money is the Transalp and it would be more suited to my rideing style...l do a small amount of off road stuff but the majority of it is onroad and short sprints to work.

Any input would be most helpfull...thanks

If your doing mainly road work and a small amount of off road then a Transalp is right up your street.

I had a Dommie 10 years ago and I loved that bike but when I bought a Transalp I realised what I'd been missing. The alp will seem like a bit of a barge at first (up to a Dommie) but once you get used to it it will take you anywhere and with no fuss at all.

If you get a chance to get one then go for it, I don't think you'll regret it.

Hi Jolly,
i have been looking at the TA as well as the other bikes you have mentioned.Why do you think the TA is better value? April have a 0% interest deal on at the moment ( UK ) and i am tempted. though i still keep eyeing the TA.
