    Downpipes for PD06

    Hi,
New to the Forum, though have been looking around for a while.
    Have an 1987 600 PD06.
Seems you guys know what is good, bad or ugly.
Have been looking at some downpipes made by a company called ABP Racing in Germany. Looks like a good price at 169 euro.
Has anyone had any dealings with this company or know what the quality of the kit is like?

    Who's this richie bloke then.

    Anyway.

Leistungskrummer, theyve got a bigger diameter than stock, so less backpressure, which means more horsies if I'm not mistaken. (Dunno what it does to the torque. It'll also probably mean having to re-jet the carbs, so beware.)

    Lifelong warranty's nice.

I bought the ABP downpipes for my '99 alp a couple of months ago because they seemed to be the best value around. They're good but don't have the braze-ons for the heat shields, so you have to drill and tap or find some other way of fixing the shields.

Did they fit ok? Did the bike run ok? and what is the overall quality like?

As another thought anyone used the Predator downpipes? Bit expensive at £200 over the cost of ABP

I fitted a new MIVV silencer at the same time and it took a bit of juggling to get everything to fit in the right places. Performance seems fine, though it's definitely got a slightly different sound and a tendency to pop when throttling back even though I've double checked all the joints for tightness.
