Phew, that took some doing!!
Tyres, that is.
Just fitted a Michelin T63 to the back and a Comp 4 to the front, both with ultra heavy duty tubes and slime. Also drilled and fitted a security bolt to the rear, and messed up the rimtape!
These tyres are lots harder to fit than removing and refitting the TKC80s, but I'm hoping I've got some mud grip now. Bet they will be interesting on the motorway on the way to Wales though!!

Wot u planning to do that you need a tyre bolt fitted?
And how did u manage without one before if thats the sort of playing about in the mud that u do?

I reconed it could only help!
I've watched the way some of the very fast riders ride, and the back wheel never stops spinning, especially when they are on the tricky bits.
I'm probably only dreaming, but one day...........

Steve T - see post 'What are you doing on Sunday' to find out why Mudwiz needs a rimlock.

Well done Chris, I'm glad to see that your puncture on the plain has sorted you out. Now go and win on the weekend or at least beat the other Transalps.
cheers, Bob.
