    A Wee Question for Mudwiz

    Mudwiz,
Somewhere here you recently said that the Touratech sump guard was the best you had seen for the Alp and some of the pics you have posted over the last few days certainly show it being put to good use............ quite inpressive.

Can you tell me if the touratech job can be fitted OK with a HONDA centrestand?

    Thanks.

Posting it here rather than a PM as other may find the info useful.
    2011 Triumph Tiger 800 - "Black Pussy" - MMMM Nice !!!
    2000 Suzuki DRZ400S - "Ol' Yella" - very bright
    2011 Peugeot V-Clic 50cc - "Scoot" - It's my wife's, an enjoyable ride.

    I have a house , but I can't guarantee it's safe !!

Just the other day I was thinking of having someone making a copy of the Touratech one, but I doubt itīll fit right with Givi engine bars

I can't answer that directly, not having a center stand, but I'll check and post what i find out.

    Cheers.

Thanks Mudwiz.......... I notice in one of your pictures (where your bike was on it's side) that the guard seems to go way back almost to the back wheel. It would certainly be a DOH !! moment if I spent all that dosh to find it did not fit. I need the centre stand more than a tough sump guard.
    But both would be good.

    Check out this link;

The best looking sumpguard for a 650 IMHO

They cost approx Ģ110 + delivery to UK, I am putting an order in soon if anyone is interested, they cover the full length of the underside of the engine.

It stops just to the front of the exhaust subchamber, and the center stand mounts are exposed.

Hope these photos help, sorry about the dirt!

And I noticed its a little bent! Not as strong as I thought, although I hate to think what that might have done to the engine/oil filter etc!
