    Steering Bearing?

    Evening everyone,

I.ve got an '05 TA - done 7500 miles. The last 2 or 3K I've noticed a slight 'click' when I come top a stop. I can't make up my mind whether it's the front brake pads or the steering bearing. Has anyone else had this?
    Any thoughts welcome.

    Thanks.

I have heard also a little knick in slow speed by a rapid frontbreaking and while on bad road (old cobble road) rideing. I had to screw one half round on steering bearnig... (TA 2005, 15000 km)

don't know if the new ta's still have the suction cup on the front of the seat, but many an 'alper will tell you of hearing this noise only to discover it's your weight causing that suction cup to pop off the tank! That drove me crazy for quite a while when i first got my 'alp, every time i took off it would go POP! i thought for sure the brakes were sticking or some bearing was locking up, hope this helps!

    Re: Steering Bearing?

    Hi There,

Thanks for your replies. The Click Is definatley coming from the steering/front area is it does it if I walk along side the bike. I'll try tightening up the bearing and see how that goes.

    Thanks.
